The role involves troubleshooting software, interface, build, configuration, and integration issues while supporting software deployments, testing, and verification activities. The engineer works closely with software, systems, test, and infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues and ensure successful system performance. Standard Job DescriptionPlans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related experience, or PhD and 1 year of experience.Previous experience with integration of separate software components into a single systemExperience with Windows and Linux system administrationCandidate must have, or be able to develop, in depth expertise in the GSS Launch Management Systems concept of operations and user interfaceExperience writing installation manualsDevelop scripts in Bash, C Shell, Python and work within the Atlassian toolset (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, GIT, Jenkins and Artifactory)CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II – CertificationA current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance is required to start.Desired SkillsExperience with Ansible Automation Platform, including Ansible TowerFamiliarity with Java and object oriented developmentAbility to read and troubleshoot application source code, ASCII logs and XML logsAbility to perform basic SQL operations in a MySQL environmentPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
